FREEDIVING JOURNEY
How to prepare for a freediving trip to Egypt:
checklist and essential travel tips
Useful Information
Our freediving journey in Egypt is suitable for participants of all levels — even if you have never dived before. If you feel comfortable in the water, you’ll be absolutely fine.

We welcome children from 8 years old, provided they are accompanied by their parents. The participation fee for children is the same as for adults, as the number of spots on the yacht is limited and the accommodation is premium.

During the trip, we include both theoretical and practical freediving sessions: you’ll learn the basics of breath-holding, pressure equalization techniques, and get your first line-training experience. All of this happens between dolphin swims and relaxing on deck.

The depth of all water activities on this trip ranges from 5 to 15 meters. The seabed and most marine life — including turtles and rays — are clearly visible from the surface, making the experience comfortable even for beginners.

What freediving equipment you need

for the Red Sea

For our June freediving trips in Egypt, a wetsuit is not required — the water is warm. A long-sleeve rash guard or T-shirt and long shorts or leggings are recommended for sun protection while in the sea.
In November, the Red Sea temperature may require a wetsuit. We recommend a 3 mm wetsuit, though anything between 1.5 mm and 5 mm can work depending on your sensitivity to cold.

If you don’t have your own freediving wetsuit or don’t want to buy one, we can provide rental equipment upon request. All gear is checked regularly and suitable for freediving in warm water.
Any comfortable mask will work, though freediving masks are preferable as they are more comfortable for breath-hold diving. Mask rental is available on the yacht with advance booking.
Don’t forget to bring a snorkel — the simplest model without valves is the best option. Snorkel rental is also available on the yacht upon request.
You will need a weight belt (weights are provided free of charge during the trip). An elastic freediving belt is recommended. Standard scuba belts are also available on-site, though they are slightly less comfortable.
Any fins are suitable except scuba fins designed to be worn with boots. Longer fins generally provide more speed, but short fins work perfectly well too. Fin rental is available with advance booking (short snorkeling fins or long freediving fins).
How to get to the yacht
for our freediving trip in Egypt

To join our freediving journey, you need to fly into Hurghada Airport (HRG).

On the arrival day, around 12:00 PM, we organize a group transfer to the yacht, which is included in the trip price. The drive from Hurghada to the departure point takes approximately 3 hours.

If you arrive earlier (for example, the evening before), you can stay at a hotel in Hurghada. The next day, our transfer will pick you up directly from your hotel — we’ll organize everything for you.

Check-in on the yacht begins at 3:00 PM.

If you need help booking flights to Hurghada, simply contact us — we’ll recommend the best routes and arrival times.
